Chamberlain Street Storm Damage

by Carmen Chiango
7/4/2014

I took these photos this morning at 8am of the damage done on Chamberlain street on the evening of July 3rd. The highway department removed the fallen tree or trees early this morning and Officer Matt
Waugh is on the scene to prevent cars from moving over the wires in either direction. Chamberlain street is blocked off at Prentice street and the intersection of Jerold and Chamberlain street. NSTAR is expected some time today to restore power to the lower end of the street including the pool and tennis club. This is the same area that lost power during hurricane Sandie two years ago.

Yeah poor us right? No big deal losing power for thirty minutes at a time but what's going on? The last few days are nothing out of what sould be considered ordinary. Hate to see what happens when we need to deal with weather like I'm more familiar with - (KS).

Turn on the local news and look at the damage done over the past few days. Tell a victim from NJ who lost everything a few years ago that you lost power twice on the fourth. Then duck! Bob

We have lost power 3 days in a row, twice on the 4th

We've lost power before too on Norfolk St! There was one summer (4th of July a few yrs ago...) blackout due to a car hitting the transformer pole. Thank goodness we were able to move the party food to a working fridge...

Hey Bob, we've lost power in Mudville repeatedly in the last couple days. We feel your pain, bro.'

Let me guess, this is the only section of Holliston that ever looses power. Why us, poor us!
