Nomination Papers Available
Nomination papers to run for elected office in Holliston will be available on February 3, 2014, at the Town Clerk's office in Town Hall.
This is a great opportunity to help your community. Running for a Town Office
and sharing your knowledge and expertise is a very rewarding and enlightening
experience. Holliston is dependent on volunteers, which is one of the reasons it is such a great place to live. Some offices require more time than others, but please think about giving back to the community.
The following is a list of the offices that are available this year:
Board of Selectmen 3 year term 1 position
Board of Assessors 3 year term 1 position
Finance Committee 3 year term 2 positions
Finance Committee 1 year term 1 position
Board of Health 3 year term 1 position
Housing Authority 5 year term 1 position
Trustee of Public Library 3 year term 2 positions
Park Commissioner 3 year term 1 position
Planning Board 5 year term 1 position
Planning Board 2 year term 1 position
School Committee 3 year term 2 positions
Water Commissioner 3 year term 1 position
In order to run for public office a person must be at least 18 years old, be a registered voter in town and collect 50 signatures from registered voters by April 1, 2014. The Town
Election is May 20, 2014.

Clerk's Office.

What I like about Holliston is that our elections are non partisan so no one has to be a member of any political party or even have a lot of money to become a candidate for local elected office. This could be the entry level position for a life long career in politics and public service.
