Keim & Montain to Run Marathon to Honor Causes

By “lending their feet”, they hope that you will “lend a hand” in helping them raise much needed funds for their respective causes.

Dave is running to raise funds for the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, located in Hopkinton, MA.  The Michael Lisnow Respite Center provides emotional and physical support for individuals with disabilities and their families. The center serves hundreds of families yearly. Dave’s wife, Kristine, who has provided physical therapy services at the Michael Lisnow Respite Center, introduced him to the center with stories of the amazing children, families and caregivers who call it home. The love, respect and attention that the caregivers show each and every member blew her away.

Dave was looking for a charity he would align himself with when he began training for the marathon. A good friend called him to say "this place called a respite center is looking for runners". Dave took immediate action.  The next day he walked into the Respite Center.  He too was blown away by the facility and staff, and his heart warmed as he recognized past students and realized this place is now their home and place for independence and growth. Dave is honored to be affiliated with such an amazing home! You can support the Michael Lisnow Center and Dave at their website: http://www.razoo.com/story/David-Keim?fb_ref=DCdG7P9WM

Pat is running to raise funds for the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALSTDI) in honor of her former rowing teammate, Carolyn, who is afflicted with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig’s disease. In 2011 Carolyn was diagnosed with ALS one month after successfully finishing in second place twice at the United State Rowing Association Master’s Nationals Regatta.  Although it has been over two decades since Carolyn and Pat rowed together for the Austin Rowing Club, their rowing ties remain strong.

Carolyn recommended raising funds for the ALS Therapy Development Institute (ALSTDI). ALSTDI is a Cambridge-based nonprofit biotechnology company dedicated to developing effective therapeutics for ALS patients as quickly and cost effectively as possible.  Their efforts have already produced dozens of potential treatments for ALS patients.  All donations will go directly to funding research to find a cure for ALS.
You can facilitate action taken to combat ALS and its devastating effects on individuals and their families. Please support ALSTDI, Carolyn, and Pat at the website:

The website has fun photos of Carolyn and Pat in action.  It also provides a wonderful opportunity to relive the fashion statement made by sunglasses in the 1980’s.
Thank you for your kind consideration and generous support.
