On Thursday, November 10 at 7:30 p.m. at Holliston Historical Society, 547 Washington Street, local resident and author Walter McClennan will present his findings on the straw bonnet industry, which was a major economic driver in the mid-19th century in this area.

While McClennan’s book on the subject highlights the straw bonnet industry in Millis, Holliston historian Joanne Hulbert will relate stories about this topic in Holliston. Light refreshments will follow the presentation. This program is free to the public as part of Holliston Historical Society’s educational mission.
