Holliston Garden Club Displays at Library

In Honor of Arbor Day, your child can enter a contest on tree identification as part of a series of displays sponsored by the Holliston Garden Club at the Holliston Public Library. The displays are colorful and full of information and can be enjoyed by all.

These exhibits are thoughtfully done and encourage the young horticulturist to get involved in identifying trees in their own back yard.  The young child and/or family explorers can win one of two books 1.) Fandex Trees or 2.) Trees Leaves and Bark.

The older child or adult can win one of two books 1.) What Tree is That? or 2.) Field Guide to the Trees of North America. To win, fill out the questionaire at the library and deposit the yellow or green pages in the lunch box on site. Prizes will be awarded on May 9th.

Exhibits in the adult library include a poem called Trees and other books that help with the identification of trees in your neighborhood, school or your own back yard.

Some of the larger and more colorful picture books (shown below) are on display as well.

This thoughtful exhibit obviously took a great deal of work and is worth a trip to our local library to check it our before it is removed in the not so distant future.
