DOVER-SHERBORN 234, HOLLISTON 238: At the Sassamon Trace Golf Course Jason Lussier carded a match-medalist 35 and Tony Scouras shot a 39 for the Panthers. Unfortunately it wasn't enough for them to win the match (11-5).

HOLLISTON 250, NORTON 255: Holliston Seniors Jason Lussier and Tony Scouras were co-medalists at 39 as they defeated Norton in a Tri-Valley League match held at TPC of Boston. Ethan Huntley and Ben Levine both finished at 41 for Holliston (12-5).

The Holliston Panthers finished their 2010 regular season with huge wins over the two top teams in the TVL. On Thursday they defeated Norton at the TPC of Boston by a score of 250-255. Jason Lussier and Tony Scouras led the charge with matching medalist honors at 39 on the par 36 course. Strong play was also turned in by Ethan Huntley and Ben Levine, both at 41.
On Friday the Panthers handed rival Medfield their only loss of the season to finish the year with a 13-5 record to Medfield's 16-1-1. The team posted its lowest round of the year for a final score of 221-230. It took a full team effort to come away with a victory, but the Panthers were lead by Tony Scouras, who was match medalist at a score of 35. Andrew Stringer and Pat Castellanos followed up with a pair of 36's to help avenge the Panthers' earlier loss to the league champions.
Varsity Golf will compete in the State Tournament Tuesday, October 19th (Sectionals) and the TVL tournament on Friday, October 22nd at The Glen in Millis. If they are in the top three as a team Tuesday, or if any individual is in the top nine, they will advance to the State Finals in Beverly next week.
