The Holliston Affordable Housing Trust is hosting a meeting regarding the Affordable Housing Trust on Wednesday May 26th room 105 7:30 pm at the Town Hall.  We have invited housing consultants Jennifer Goldson and Beth Rust to come in to talk about Housing Trusts, acquiring funding for the Trust, types of programs/projects we may like to finance or sponsor and to answer any other question housing groups in Town may have about the Trust. 

Given that many of the interested parties in housing will be gathered we are also going to hold a public hearing regarding the Declaration of Trust which sets forth the powers, rules and regulations of the Trust.  The Trust is interested in getting this document recorded so that we can move forward with our mission to actively create affordable housing options in Holliston.  I have attached the latest draft of the document for your review.  It is still subject to a final vote of the Trust but it has been reviewed by Town Counsel and the Town Administrator.

With the help of Paul LeBeau I have sought to invite interested housing parties to the meeting to learn about housing trusts and to provide valuable input.  While I have tried to be all inclusive, I have inevitably left someone out.  I would encourage the Chair or administrator of each of the Housing Committee, Housing Authority, CPC, Housing Development Corporation, Planning Board, ZBA and Selectmen to invite their respective groups and anyone else who might have interest.  I look forward to seeing you at the meeting and working together with our collective housing knowledge to make some headway on our housing goals.  Thank you.
