Richard “Dick” E. Clemons, Sr., 67, of Marlborough, Ma, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital in Westborough, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health. He leaves behind his devoted wife of over 42 years, Diane E. (Grenon) Clemons.

Dick was born in Framingham, MA, on November 22, 1951, one of 10 children of the late Morris and Marion (Smith) Clemons. He was raised in Holliston, Ma, where he graduated from Holliston High School. He later met the love of his life, Diane E. (Grenon) Clemons, eventually embarking on a 42-year marriage together. Dick had a long and dedicated career, maintaining printing machinery for Avery Dennison Printing Company in Framingham.

Dick was a low-key person who appreciated the simple things in life. He was a great cook and a talented woodworker, who enjoyed the challenge of building things from blueprints. Holding on to the family traditions of his parents and siblings, Dick had a special love for Volkswagen Beatles and was an expert working on them. Most of all Dick enjoyed spending time with his family and loved cheering for the football teams that his son was coaching.

Dick is also survived by his son, Richard “Rick” E. Clemons, Jr. and his fiancé Lisa Batista; nine siblings, Morris Clemons and his wife Linda, Robert Clemons and his wife Mary, Russell Clemons and his wife Muriel, Beverly MacKay and her husband Ken, Kent Clemons, Phillip Clemons and his wife Anne, Cindy Griffin and her husband David, Linda Hatch and her husband Bill and Billy Clemons; three grandchildren, Cory J. Clemons, Hailie Bejarano and Bailey Bourgeois; three sister-in-laws, Agnes Casavecchia and her husband Charles, Debra Canty and her husband Paul and Robin Grenon and her husband Charles Barry; a brother-in-law, Gordon Greska and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA; immediately followed by a Celebration of his life at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private at a later time.
