Registered Democrats in Holliston will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the 2019 Massachusetts Democratic State Convention in September. The caucus will convene in the Selectmen’s Room (Room 105) at Holliston Town Hall, 703 Washington Street, at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 11.

Caucus registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. Doors will close at 10:15. The caucus is open to the public and press, but only Holliston registered Democrats are eligible to participate in the voting. Delegates must be present at the caucus to be elected (except persons serving in the U.S. Armed Forces who have noticed their chair of intention to run by 2/1/19). 

The caucus is open to all registered and pre-registered Democrats in Holliston. Preregistered Democrats who will be 16 by May 11 are eligible to participate and run as a delegate or alternate. Same-day registration is also allowed.  All Holliston Democrats are encouraged to participate.

Holliston's Democrats will be voting to elect eight delegates and four alternate delegates to represent them at the convention. Those not elected as a delegate or alternate and who meet the qualifications can apply to be an add-on delegate in the following categories: youth, minority, disabled, or LGBTQ. This year’s Massachusetts Democratic State Convention will take place Saturday, September 14 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
