11th Annual SOUPer Bowl 2018

The Holliston Pantry Shelf SOUPer Bowl 2018 will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 5 - 7:30 pm at Christ The King Lutheran Church, located at 600 Central Street in Holliston, MA.  Holliston residents and those of surrounding communities are encouraged to gather together to attend the event and enjoy delicious soups donated by local businesses.   The SOUPer Bowl is in its 11th year and is the single largest fundraising event for the Holliston Pantry Shelf.

“We are so grateful to the wonderful community that year after year comes out to support us in our largest fundraiser,” said Stephen Bradford, President of Holliston Pantry Shelf. “This year is particularly special because with the help of our community, the Pantry just completed a move to a new location at 73 Charles Street.  This SOUPer Bowl will provide an opportunity to raise funds and enjoy a meal alongside all those that helped the Pantry this year.”

The SOUPer Bowl dinner features gourmet soups donated by local businesses.  Fresh breads, beverages and homemade desserts are also included in the meal.  The Pantry is pleased to announce the following local businesses have generously donated soups for this year’s event:

Bertucci’s: Sausage Soup (Gluten Sensitive)

Casey’s Crossing: Chili

Bazels: Butternut Squash (Vegetarian)

Holliston Superette: Chicken Noodle

Jasper Hill Cafe: Curry Chicken Coconut

Outpost Farm: Corn Chowder (Vegetarian)

Anonymous Donor: Clam Chowder

Guests will also have a chance to win exciting prizes in a drawing that features goods and services donated by local businesses.

Tickets are being sold at Coffee Haven, Holliston Superette and Town Clerk's Office. Adults 12 and older are $15, Seniors 65+ and children 6 to 11 are $8, and admission is free for children up to 5 years.

The Holliston Pantry Shelf serves close to 200 families in town, and is entirely operated and staffed by volunteers in the community. Any resident of Holliston may go to the Town Clerk’s office in Town Hall to obtain a Panty ID card, which entitles them to shop weekly at the Pantry. Shoppers’ identities are kept strictly confidential.

The Holliston Pantry Shelf is located at 73 Charles Street.   Donations are always welcome.  Pantry Hours are Monday - Friday 10am - 2 pm, and evening hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 - 7:30 pm.   If the Pantry is closed, donations can be placed in the large box directly outside the Pantry entrance.
