After the official swearing in ceremony of Chief Matthew Stone in Upper Town Hall on Wednesday, April 12th, the BOS continued on with their regular scheduled meeting agenda. The warrant was signed, and all are invited to volunteer to help with the annual town Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 22nd.

Town administrator Jeff Ritter told the board that a grant application to fund the renovation of 1750 Washington Street and the Library has been submitted .

The main topic discussed was the Recreational Marijuana Ballot Question, whether to have it on the spring ballot or not. The town has approved applications for the cultivation of medical marijuana with the provison that no retail is permitted. The board agreed to put the question on the ballot, that no retail sale of pot will be permitted in Holliston, just cultivation. This is a non-binding resolution.

Gina Stucchi joined the conversation on the marijuana issue and agreed that no retail should be allowed in Holliston. There are too many risk factors with alcohol and pot. The state has yet to decide on all marijuana issues.

The board unanimously voted to change the weekly selectmen meeting from Wednesdays to Mondays. The next scheduled meeting will be on Wednesday April 19th. The Monday meeting schedule will begin with the April 24th meeting.

Permits were granted for HYBSA Opening Day on Sunday, May 7th, the Mother's Day Memorial Ride on , May 14th, the HBA SpringFest which is incorporating the Porch Festival (local musicians welcome) on Saturday, May 20th and the Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 29th.

A Car Show connected with the HBA SpringFest in the Exchange Street Municpal Lot was also approved.
