Destination Imagination is a volunteer-based education program that challenges kids to find creative solutions to open-ended challenges.  The organization is a national nonprofit where students of all ages, from kindergarten to college undergraduates, compete in tournaments showcasing their unique projects.

Holliston is home to a fifth-grade Destination Imagination team called the Neon Owls.  The Neon Owls are looking for an idea for this year’s project, and have been seeking advice from various people and groups around town.

So far, they have spoken with school teachers, the Holliston Food Pantry, the Holliston Senior Center, the Holliston Fire Department, the Board of Selectmen, and even State Representative Carolyn Dykema.  Now, they are asking the public to weigh in with an online survey.

If you would like to help decide on the Owls’ project, their survey can be accessed by following the link below.  Any and all input is appreciated and the Owls and I thank you for your help.

I am one of the adult co-managers of the Neon Owls. The girls met today to review the results of their survey and pick their project. The overwhelming winner was the Adopt a Hydrant campaign! They want to thank everyone who voted and gave them feedback. Please look for their adopt a hydrant event in January 2017!
