What a great asset we have going for our Community in the Rail Trail!  Especially at this time of year, as we realize that more time is going to be spent indoors over the coming months, our appreciation of the Trail grows.

The supportive neighbors at Lista International Corp have donated an amazing raffle prize!  One of their mobile storage cabinets, valued at $1500, is going to be won in our Saturday drawing.  Only 100 tickets will be sold!

Your support with this raffle will ensure Friends of Holliston Trails can continue supporting the Rail Trail with safety improvements and programs.  Please consider purchasing a $20 ticket at www.HollistonTrails.org today!  (winner notified 10/22/16)

With kind support from the residents and small businesses of Holliston, and a terrific group of volunteers that make up the Trails Committee & the Friends of Holliston Trails group, Holliston now owns and maintains 6.7 miles of trail thru town.

While the town-appointed Trail Committee works hard to make surface improvements and organize funding sources to pay for it, you can imagine that interest grows in our town.  More and more bicyclists and runners are organizing, businesses are coaxing in users as a destination to rest, and groups are asking how to beautify sections.  It is terrific to see the excitement grow.

The Friends of Holliston Trails is a non-profit group created to support the Trail.  Over the past few years, your kind donations and participation in events have allowed us to take some of the financial burdens off the town committee.  Thank you!

The 4th annual First Night Trail Walk will be taking place New Year’s Eve.  Want to make the event even better??  Join us at a fire pit along the trail and be a part of the Walk.   Enjoy all your neighbors coming by to welcome in the New Year!   Email me at Ed@HollistonTrails.org for details!

Thank You Jimmy Reed of R&R Landscaping for the continued support of servicing the Pet Stations we have on the trail.  Pet owners and trail users alike appreciate the stations as a way to keep our Trails available to our 4-legged family members!

The Great Pumpkin Trail, hosted by Holliston Newcomers and Girls Scout Troop #72253, will be running from Blair Square on Oct 30th from 11-1.

Additional safety improvements of solar powered road crossing signs are on order and expected to be installed by our friends at Holliston Highway Department in the coming months.
