Oktoberfest at the Historical Society Barn

Join us on Friday, October 21 at 7pm for the 19th annual Holliston Historical Society Oktoberfest celebration. Our 1815 barn is the perfect venue for this festive occasion. Members of the Society volunteer with the setup, cooking, serving, decorations and clean up. Come and meet them as well as your neighbors and friends.

As is the tradition for this event, the featured entertainment is the Double Eagle Oktoberfest Band. This lively band has performed all over the East Coast and Canada and will get you laughing, singing and dancing a polka before the evening is done. Have fun watching Otto, the Lederhosen-clad marionette, whose legs tap out the rhythm while his arms twirl.

In addition to large, soft pretzels and your choice of beverage (wine, specialty beers, soda or water) we serve a meal of premium knockwurst, rye bread, German potato salad and pickled red cabbage. After the meal enjoy coffee, tea and homemade apple crisp with whipped cream for dessert. Vegetarians can request Käsespätzle in place of the knockwurst by notifying Bea Hait at 508-429-3564 or beateh1@aol.com no later than October 14.

All of this at a cost of only $25. Tickets are available through PayPal at hollistonhistoricalsociety.org and at Crafted, Fiske’s and Superette. Space is limited so purchase your tickets early to ensure your spot at a table for this scrumptious German meal and musical entertainment.
