by Chief John Moore
8/25/2016

Between the hours of 6:00am and 1:00pm the Holliston Police received reports of ten (10) entries into motor vehicles that were parked in driveways on the following streets (Temi Road -2; Travis Road – 4; Stonybrook Drive – 2; Wingate Road; Richard Road) during the overnight hours from August 23rd to the 24th. Taken from these vehicles were cash, loose coins, debit/credit cards, gift cards, an I-Phone and I-Pods. In all cases the motor vehicles were left unlocked, and no known damage was done to any vehicle. These matters remain under investigation. There are no suspects at this time.

Residents are strongly encouraged to remove valuables from their vehicles and to keep those vehicles locked especially during the overnight hours.

We're very trusting people here in Holliston. Unfortunately, there are those who will take advantage of that. Time to realize we're not in Kansas anymore. Lock your stuff up, or let you Doberman sleep in the car!

According to postings in a closed Facebook Group, at least 3 houses were hit on Rolling Meadow Drive and Morse Farm Lane last night (8/24). Same thing - cars left unlocked.
