Holliston's Robert Weidknecht was among eleven nominees for Community Champion. 

Laura Kunkle, Executive Director of America in Bloom, presented the plaque to  Robert  recognizing his efforts to establish Holliston's Rail Trail.

The final presentation of the evening was the award in Recognition of the Communitys' Heritage Preservation. Holliston was in the competition with three other communities in the 12,001 to 18,000 population category, including Catskill, New York, Washington, Missouri and Arroyo Grande, California. Holliston was recognized as number 1 in this categroy.  We were awarded Five Blooms, the highest rating possible ranking.

Congratulations to the entire Holliston in Bloom Committee, in addition to Mark, Bobby and Pat:  Mary Greendale, Kathy Shore,  Nancy Saulnier, Bea Hait, Margie Cummins, Sheila Adams, Linda Ahronian, Tara Hathaway, Deborah Moore, Kathy Thomas, Kathy Doliner, and all the Volunteers who helped bring it  together for Holliston.
