The RAMS Golf Club is an opportunity for middle school golfers with any level of experience to enjoy the sport of golf in a fun, instructional environment both on the driving range and on the course. Group instruction is provided each week by Trevor Pennypacker, a member of the HHS Varsity Golf Team.

Contact Michelle Tate for details at michellefrancistate@yahoo.com

On alternate weeks, the golfers go out in groups of 4 maximum and play 9 holes.

This is a non-profit venture, in other words, golfers split the cost of greens fees, balls, and coaching fees. I am simply the person who organizes, picks up as many kids as I can in my van, brings in clubs that parents leave at my house, distributes the pay, etc.

Dates: TUESDAYS. 8 weeks starting April 14th and ending on June 9th. Each week the players alternate between instruction on the range and instruction on the course. There will be no golf on April 21st school vacation week. Snow on the course may delay a start to April 28th with a resulting end on June 23rd.

Registration: Please register your player by Friday April 3rd. $140 per player includes 1 large bucket of balls on range days, 9 holes of golf on course days, and group instruction. Players must bring his / her own clubs or contact Pinecrest to make rental arrangements. Rate assumes a minimum of 8 players. If less than 8 players the rate may increase slightly.

Driving Range Days: Players will practice with a large bucket of balls on the Driving Range followed by putting practice.

Course Days: Players will play 9 holes in groups of 4. A coach will accompany each group.

Transportation: Michelle Tate will provide transportation from RAMS to Pinecrest at 2:05. Depending upon attendance, she may need another parent volunteer to drive the golfers from RAMS to Pinecrest. Send your child to the visitor's pick up circle near the 6th grade wing.

Clubs: Pinecrest has no space to store our children's clubs. You may bring your clubs to Michelle Tate’s house (96 North Mill St.) by 7:30am on Tuesday mornings and she will bring them to the course.

Time: 2:15pm – 3:30pm on Range days. 2:15pm – 4:15pm for Course days: End time on the course days may vary slightly based on speed of play. Please pick up your child near the putting green in front of the Clubhouse.

Attire: Players must wear a collared shirt. Golf shoes are not required. Sneakers are fine.

What to bring: Clubs & your child's needs: water, bugspray, sunscreen, hat. A snack and $ for a drink after playing.

Rain days: All parents will be notified by 12:00 on any day where we think the weather will cancel the activity. Registration $ will not be refunded, but will be used to try and give the players another day or possibly put towards a fun activity.
