A Night of Holliston History, Tales from the Local Scene

Have you ever wondered how the history of Holliston has been written by several historians who gathered the stories important to understand our past? Abner Morse was the first, John Mason Batchelder, Daniel Chase and Dorothy Rees added much to the understanding of what makes Holliston unique and they preserved our history in their journal and articles. I certainly won’t be the last! Town history grows every day and what future historians will consider important to record might surprise us now and perhaps past historians would have been surprised at our interest.

A display of Holliston historical materials will show how our town’s history has grown and also, how researching history today has changed since the days when Abner scoured the town, looking for something historical to record.

Bring your questions and curiosity. There will be ample time to “stump the historian” and to explore what our historical past, present and future hold.
