The Holliston Council On Aging is pleased to announce that the Board of Selectmen has approved the recommendation of Town Administrator Paul Lebeau and the Council On Aging to appoint Jean Boulette of Oxford, Massachusetts, as the new Director of the Senior Center, effective December 1, 2014.

Jean comes to us with a wealth of experience of over nine years in the field of successful service to seniors.  She is currently serving as the Director of the Blackstone Senior Center, and previous to that served as Outreach Coordinator, and as Transportation Coordinator, and is a certified SHINE counselor.  She has shown particular skill in developing and offering programs for seniors that are relevant, interesting, and valuable in enhancing the quality of life for older adults.

She has a degree from the University of New England/Westbrook College and also has several years experience in administrative positions in the private sector.

The Search Committee for Senior Center Director received 39 applications, and identified eight candidates for interviews whose background and experience most closely matched our requirements.  Of that group three finalists were interviewed a second time, and after a challenging decision due to the outstanding qualities of all three finalists, Jean was the unanimous choice of the Committee.  .

We believe the Town of Holliston, and particularly our senior population (which comprises almost 25% of the total citizenry) is fortunate to have Jean as our new Director of the Senior Center, and we hope you will share with us in warmly welcoming her to our Town.
