Review of The Girls of Salem

by Ceci LeBeau 1/24/2019

This weekend, the Prana Center will feature an original play about the Salem witchcraft trials from the point of view of the girls who started it. The play’s author, Roberta Weiner, asks the questions, what was their motivation? Why did they do it? Fifteen talented seventh and eighth graders, fourteen girls and one boy, reenact this horrifying event in American history, and give their interpretation of this blight on the Puritan experience in the New World. Two shows are already sold out, but there are tickets available for the 1pm show on Saturday, January 26th at the Prana Center, 21 Charles Street, in Holliston.
