Celebrate Holliston 2017 is on September 19th This is an encore presentation of the Citizens of the Year for 2013 Volunteerism took center stage Saturday morning, as Linda Ahronian and Mike Tyman were honored as Holliston’s Citizens of the Year for 2013 at Goodwill Park.

                              (Mudville Base Ball Classic Poster) July 25, 1857 – The vicinity of Winthrop Street was a lively spot on Saturday afternoon.  A numerous concourse of our people was gathered to see the contest between the Holliston and Medway players.  We are not able, in the Editor’s absence, to report particulars; but we hear that the balance was in favor of the other side.

 The St. Louis Browns and Montreal Expos, baseball teams separated by time and league association, never had the opportunity to face each on the diamond. But it was a different story last weekend when teams bearing those names, met at Damigella Field to decide Holliston fall softball supremacy. The Exos are the Champions

Holliston’s very own vintage base ball team, the Mudville Base Ball Club, will be exchanging their familiar red, white and blue uniforms this upcoming weekend, as they appear as the Boston Red Stockings Vintage Base Ball Club at the Weston 300 celebration on Saturday.

Two years ago they were the class of the league and fought for the league championship.  However this past Sunday evening at Damigella Field, the game more closely resembled a catfight between aging starlets, with the same team emerging victorious.  (Dennis Ferreira doesn't let his advanced years slow him down)
