An issues convention focuses on topics such as the environment, education, civil rights, and the economy. Delegates hear guest speakers, attend forums, and gather to discuss grassroots strategies and leadership.

Sen. Karen Spilka and Rep. Carolyn Dykema join 81 Massachusetts state senators and representatives in co-sponsoring the “We the People Act.” Introduced by Sen. Jamie Eldridge, who is lead sponsor along with Rep. Cory Atkins, this act calls for the U.S. Congress to pass a pro-democracy, anti-corruption amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
