St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Holliston, Massachusetts, has successfully concluded its discernment search process, and has called The Reverend Sarah Robbins-Cole to be the new Rector.  Reverend Robbins-Cole will be assuming her new duties on or shortly after October 1, 2014.

The search process began in June, 2013, after the retirement of The Reverend Christine Whittaker who had served as rector for 15 years.

Most recently Reverend Robbins-Cole was the Associate Rector at All Saints Episcopal Church, Peterborough, New Hampshire.  Prior to that she and her husband lived in England, where Sarah had responsibilities variously as Assistant Curate at All Saints Church, West Dulwich in South London; Honorary Curate at Holy Cross Church, Surrey; and Head School Chaplain at King’s College School, Wimbledon.

Robbins-Cole has a B.A. degree from the University of Vermont, an M.A. in Theology from Ripon College Cuddesdon, Oxford University, and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from King’s College, London.  She has also studied at Church School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California.  She was ordained an Episcopal priest in June, 1996.

Her husband, The Rev. Adrian Robbins-Cole, was called in September, 2013 to be the Rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Wellesley, Massachusetts.  Sarah and Adrian have two teenage children, Will and Elizabeth.

The church will have a welcome celebration for the new Rector in the fall.
