During our investigation of discolored water complaints in the Dalton Road and Goulding Street areas we found that a water gate valve connecting the two neighborhoods via Willow Gate Rise and Alden Road was closed.  The closed valve has created two dead ends which prevents the water from circulating through the distribution system.  In an effort to improve the overall water quality we opened the valve to create a loop connecting the water system and allowing for proper circulation.

This adjustment should result in improvement of the overall water quality.  However, the adjustment also changed the direction of water flow in these areas resulting in a temporary discoloration of water in these areas.  The discoloration  should dissipate in the next few days.  Please check your laundry prior to washing clothes.  We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused as we strive to improve our water system.
