Scholarship Awards Announced

The Holliston Scholarship Foundation announces that Samuel Scott wins the
Celebrate Holliston Award:

 
Samuel Scott who lives at 1089 Highland Street has been chosen to receive the eighth annual Celebrate Holliston Award. The Celebrate Holliston Committee and the Holliston Scholarship Foundation fund this award and it is it given to a student who has demonstrated good citizenship and responsibility to our local community. Theresa Lampkin from the Celebrate Holliston Committee presented Samuel with the Award at the Holliston High School Senior Awards Night on Wednesday evening, June 4th at Holliston High School.  Among his many activities to benefit the town, Samuel co-founded the Holliston Walk Against Hunger in 2012. Samuel will attend the University of Massachusetts in the fall and major in Biology.

 

The Holliston Scholarship Foundation announces that Emily Kodkiko wins the
Thomas and Marjorie Lyons Award:   

Emily Kodkiko, who lives at 39 Tracy Lyn Road, has been chosen to receive the Thomas and Marjorie Lyons Award. This is the Third of many awards to be given in memory of Thomas Lyons and his wife Marjorie, by their family and friends and will assist Emily in all four years of her college experiences. Tom Lyons was a successful businessman and former member of the Holliston School Committee. He and his wife Marjorie were very active in the community and devout and energetic supporters of quality schools in Holliston. Their daughters Beth Wills and Sue Lewis represented their five children and presented the award to Emily at the Holliston High School Senior Awards Night on Wednesday evening, June 4th at Holliston High School.  Emily will attend Babson College and major in Business Management and with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and one day hopes to start her own company.
