In last week’s matches, Holliston went undefeated. On Wednesday, the 13th, HHS took on Natick at home under very chilly temperatures. It was an interesting match-up as the current head coach for Natick began the season as an assistant for the Holliston squad. Holliston jumped out to an early 3-0 lead with points from Lee Mogren, Peter Georgakopoulos, and Teddy Campbell. The teams then traded points with Holliston taking the half by a score of 8-4. Natick mounted a strong second half, narrowing the score to 10-9, before Holliston regained control. Freshman Georgakopoulos continued his strong play in the second half, scoring three points to lead Holliston to a 15-10 final score.

The Panthers second game of the week took them on the road to Medway. Holliston had struggled on the road so far this season, but got off to a strong start against Medway. Peter Georgakopoulos continued to find himself a target in the endzone, scoring  four of Holliston’s first five points of the game. Strong defense and accurate flicks and backhands on offense led HHS to an 8-2 halftime lead. However, Medway regained their form in the second half, outscoring the visitors by a 6-2 margin to open the half. The Holliston coaching staff stuck with their strategy of mixing less-experienced players with veterans and it paid off. Points were traded back and forth, but Holliston ultimately prevailed on a nice throw from Carl Berg to Ben Durkee to cap a 15-13 win.
