Senior Center Roof
The project to replace the roof at the Senior Center is now underway and should be completed in four to six weeks. The town appropriated $151,688 for the project. The May town meeting voted $100,000 for the project but this did not come close to the lowest bid which was $141,100.
The October town meeting vored $51,688 to meet the lowest bid by RCI Roofing of Southampton,MA. RCI delivered insulation before Christmas and made a second shipment of materials on 1-16-14.
Two previous dates to start the roof were never met because the building materials , especially the the second delivery never arrived until the 16th of January. Work started on 1-20-14 and will continue until the project is completed, weather permiting.
