Holiday Sponsorships Opportunities
Dear Friends,
The holidays are sneaking up on us fast! With Thanksgivukkah already this month, and Christmas right around the corner, it’s time to get in the giving mood! It’s really one of the best parts of the year – a season of celebrations, a chance to spend time with family and friends … and an opportunity to help those less fortunate than we all are. Let’s make a difference in some local children’s lives.
As many of you know, for the past eight years, Leslie and I have sponsored a gift drive in partnership with the Woodrow Wilson School in Framingham, Holliston Public Schools, and Jewish Family Services of Metrowest. This year we are expanding the program also to include local foster children. Our goal, as always, is to give families in need a happier holiday season. So far we’ve helped more than 1,500 kids! Please help us keep raising that number – make a difference in someone’s life and be the reason for a letter like this:
“To Erin and our anonymous benefactors, Thank you so much for helping to provide a nice Christmas for our precious Sam and our family and we greatly appreciate it.
Sam is thriving despite his difficult circumstances and that is due to the whole team involved with hisschooling. Thank you SO MUCH!”
Getting involved is so simple. To start, just let us know how many kids you’d like to sponsor (you can take on an entire family or individualchildren). The children’s parents send us their wish lists, which we will pass on to you.
There are then two ways to help. You can either have the pleasure of picking out exactly what the kids receive (trust us, there’s not a more rewarding shopping experience out there!) OR, if you’re unable to do the actual shopping but still want to participate, we can do it for you with the money you donate. The best part: you will not be buried in a sea of wrapping paper and tape! The kids’ parents do the wrapping (with paper we provide). This both gives them a chance to see what their children are receiving and saves us from a time-consuming job.
Aside from the joy the kids and families experience, the fulfillment and happiness that we, the givers, come away with is simply beyond words. As we’ve heard from so many of you, we know you look forward to our program every year (thank you!!!). We’re just sending out this information to provide our friends and family with an easy opportunity to make an impact this holiday season.
Every child deserves the excitement of receiving gifts during the holidays, the fun of ripping off wrapping paper, and the surprise of getting just what they were hoping for.
