My neighbor is involved with the Haiti Health Alliance (HHA), a group of volunteer medical professionals that go to Haiti once per year to a small town called San Raffaell (north of Port-au-Prince). They work in the clinic and visit nearby schools and teach about various areas, such as nutrition, dental care, and sexually transmitted diseases.

On Saturday, October 19th, HHA will be having a yard sale at Fatima Shrine in Holliston to help raise money for the cost of medications and medical supplies.  They are looking for household items, gently worn clothing, shoes, furniture etc. to so sell at the yard sale.  HHA is also particularly looking for GENTLY worn shoes/sneakers for the HAITIAN CHILDREN.   My neighbor will pick up items at your house or you can drop them off. Another option is that items can be dropped off the day of yard sale at Fatima Shrine before 9am.  So, please take a look around your homes, this might be a great excuse to do some FALL cleaning!  Please contact Toni Neal at 508-429-6994 for drop off and pick up details.

The yard sale is from 9-2 on this coming Saturday, Oct 19th at Fatima Shrine.

Also they are is desperate need of GENTLY WORN CHILDREN’S SHOES IN HAITI.  Donations of children’s shoes would be for the Haitian children, not for the yard sale.
