DAC Alumni Now a Patriot's Cheerleader
The Dancing Arts Center is proud to announce that former student Jensine Rich has joined the New England Patriots Cheerleader squad for the 2013-2014 season.
Rich began her DAC career when she was four, starting with creative movement classes, and then continued with dance instruction for another ten years. During that time she studied ballet and modern dance techniques, and even attended jazz classes, which she says were her favorite along with a Flamenco class she took during DAC’s summer program.
“The aspects of DAC that inspired me the most were the teachers,” says Rich, who recently earned her master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of New Hampshire. “All of the teachers were amazing, kind, and supportive towards my dance career. DAC also taught me discipline and to keep working towards my dreams.”

Rich cheered for Pop Warner football in Framingham and then for her high school team.
“I have always been a huge Patriots fan, and felt that it would be a great next step in my dance career to keep dancing,” she adds.
“It is wonderful to see how our students succeed in life after their work here,” says Dancing Arts Center Director Karyn Edison. “It is exciting to see what a student can achieve not only through year-round dedication to dance but also from the life lessons DAC strives to teach. We are very proud of Jensine and wish her the best.”
Rich says her role as a professional cheerleader requires her to practice Tuesday nights and Saturdays to prepare for the upcoming season and for promotional appearances throughout the community. Currently, she is focusing on a trip to St. Lucia that the Patriots cheerleading squad leaves for on June 6.
