Holliston Ultimate Continues Momentum
The Holliston High School Ultimate Frisbee team extended its winning streak to three games last Thursday against Sharon. Holliston travelled to Sharon to face Sharon's Division 2 team under sunny skies, but windy conditions.

Rusty Varell prepares the pull

The Panthers got off to a slow start, falling behind 2-0 to start the game, but came back to tie it with scores from freshman Teddy Campbell and junior Rusty Varrell. Points were hard to come by as the strong winds continued, and Sharon took advantage extending their lead at half time by a score of 8-4.

The second half did not start well for the Panthers as Sharon continued their strong play, opening a comfortable 13-9 lead. Coach Levasseur, looking to give some experience to some younger players, made several substitutions and found the right combination of youth and experience. Holliston began to lock down Sharon on the defensive end of the field and moved quickly to erase Sharon's lead. After senior Jensen Holder scored three of Holliston's next five points to take the lead at 14-13, Holliston had all the momentum. Holliston pulled to Sharon and quickly forced a turnover to regain possession of the disk.

Corey Cox celebrates winning point

With surgical precision, the Panthers moved down the field and completed the comeback with an accurate toss to the end zone from junior Carl Berg to sophomore Corey Cox. Holliston's six straight points to win the game was perhaps their strongest stretch of the season.

This week, Holliston Ultimate wraps up its regular season with its final home game on Tuesday May 21st at 3:30PM against Nipmuc.

Jensen Holder elevates for the disk

The Panthers will recognize seniors Jensen Holder, Brian Jacobs, and Curtis Mogren as they play their final home game. Any eighth graders who are interested in the UF 2014 season are encouraged to attend see the UF Panthers in action.

Holliston will play their final regular season game under the lights on Wednesday night at 7pm in Abington. The following Sunday (May 26th), Holliston will play in the Division 2 State Tournament held in Greenfield, MA .
