Dancing Arts Center Food Drive

by Karyn Edison

“Student projects such as these reinforce the Dancing Arts Academy’s mission to develop well-rounded students who understand the responsibility they have to care for those less fortunate. Supporting organizations such as the Holliston Food Pantry gives DAA students an awareness on how they can be an active participant in their community,” says DAA Director Karyn Edison. “We appreciate the support shown by parents, fellow students and others because their participation also emphasizes an important lesson on how we can come together for a great cause.”

A collection bin will be located in DAA’s lobby from March 11 to the 23. Students from the Dancing Arts Academy’s Community Service Committee will then deliver the goods to the Holliston Food Pantry.

About the Dancing Arts Center:

The Dancing Arts Center, located in Holliston, Massachusetts, provides instruction in
classical ballet, modern dance, improvisation, character, hip hop, pointe, pas de deux, and choreography, and offers a variety of other performance-related classes through the year.  DAC’s teaching foundation is based on the philosophy that good dance training awakens the senses and stimulates emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. It believes in nurturing each student’s desires, and enhancing their love of dance, through creative expression, exploration, and discovery.

Its small class size fosters careful, and progressive development of each student’s artistry.
