Sunday Afternoon at the Holliston Rail Trail

It was a busy afternoon at the Holliston Rail Trail with volunteers working on the ongoing cleanup effort, bulb planting and engagement photo shoots.  The sun came out and the Park across from CVS was looking beautiful.

Six volunteers turned up for the cleanup effort, armed with tools and work gloves, Robert Weidknecht, Steve and Ryan Collopy, Mark and Ben Kaplan, and Phil Gibson got right to work clearing a section as per Bobby Blair. Bob was busily planting daffodil bulbs nearby as a few bicyclists passed.

The cleanup and the additions of garden beds, the gazebo and a newly planted blue spruce has paid off which is why a couple turned up for an engagement photo shoot. Liz Ortel, Steve Johnson and their dog Luna were posing at the gazebo and along the trail for photographer Rich Powers from Henry Studios.

The Friends of Holliston Trails are always looking for volunteers. Look for them on face book or contact Robert Weidknecht at 508-366-0560 or r.weidknecht@psualum.com.
