Senior Center Fair -- A Success

The annual Holliston Senior Center Fall Fair, held on Saturday September 8, recorded record attendance, despite cloudy weather and a threat of rain.  Visitors perused a huge outdoor yard sale, and indoors enjoyed shopping at an enormous bake sale as well as at tables filled with jewelry, quilted and knitted goods, crafts, CD’s, books, movies, and flowers.

In between shopping, event goers could enjoy snacks or lunch from a menu of coffee and donuts, popcorn, chili, hot dogs and hamburgers, and a variety of soft drinks.

Staffing for the fair is provided exclusively by volunteers, including a large number of seniors, students from Holliston High School, and the St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus.

Held under the auspices of the Senior Support Foundation, the fall fair is the major fundraiser for programs at the Senior Center, with proceeds from the annual sale to be used this year to underwrite health and nutrition programs for elders in Holliston’s community.  Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who either helped or joined in the festivities.
