Housing Trust Programs
The lottery will be on January 3, 2013 for all three units. Burnap Road is fully renovated. We will award both single family grants after the lottery but do them in succession – i.e. after first one closes, the second one can start looking for a home. We hope to have three units created by the middle of next year for a cost of about $100K per unit which as you know is well below replacement cost for a single unit of housing in Holliston.
We are actively looking for a piece of land for the habitat for humanity project in the 200K range (1-2 units) which would be a great community project to undertake around affordable housing. We have had an active, hardworking board that has managed to come together with each other, HHDC and Housing Committee to pull this off. Thanks to all of you for supporting our initiatives. It has been instrumental helping to make these projects finally happen.
