Newcomers Sponsor Back-to-School Food Drive
Volunteers from the Holliston Newcomers Club sponsored a Back to School Food Drive at Shaw’s in Ashland on Saturday, September 8th. It was a huge success.

Many customers entering the store accepted our list of items which the Food Pantry needed for those children returning to school. The Holliston Newcomers Club was astounded by the generosity displayed as people exited the grocery store with several items of non perishables or bags of food to contribute. Many items were things that kids could use for their lunches.

The volunteers were so very grateful to Shaw’s for giving the Holliston Newcomers their support as we literally filled a van full of dried soups, juice boxes, snack crackers, cookies, peanut butter, jelly, paper products, mac & cheese, pastas and more. All food collected will be delivered to the Holliston Food Pantry.
The Holliston Newcomers Club was very pleased to help this worthy cause and will continue to work with the Holliston Food Pantry throughout the year.
