The Holliston Newcomers Club is proud to announce the 2012 recipients of their annual community grant program. This year the Club will be awarding grants to community organizations and initiatives aimed at making Holliston an ever more beautiful, educational, fun and safe place to live. Funding for the grant program is raised throughout the year through Newcomer-hosted events including the annual Craft Fair and the upcoming 10K Road Race scheduled for May 20, 2012, and the Touch-a-Truck event scheduled for June 2, 2012.

For over 40 years the Holliston Newcomers Club has remained strongly committed to giving back to the community by issuing grants to organizations that make a significant impact, provide needed services and projects, and help the greatest number of Holliston residents.

This year’s grant recipients – to be celebrated at a General Meeting on April 11th at 7:00 pm at the Holliston Historical Society Barn – include the Holliston Arts Council to support the summer concert series, the Holliston Public Library to support their museum pass program, the Friends of Holliston Trails to support the Upper Charles Trail project, the Holliston Auxiliary Police to provide tactical training, and the Holliston Pantry Shelf to support their continuing efforts.  For the complete list of this year’s recipients please visit the Holliston Newcomers website at www.hollistonnewcomers.org.
