7th Grade Champions -- What a Great Game
Holliston late in the third quarter put on the press to cause multiple problems and tunrnovers for North Attleboro. At this point Michael Alibrandi hit a deep three to put Holliston ahead for the first time. The crowd went crazy.
The usual combination of Jack Barrett, Tyler Aronson and Jake Obid created such havoc for North Attleboro. Holliston won with a final score of 51 to 49.
It was an amazing well-deserved win. These kids worked so hard and never gave up.
The season overall was 9-3 this team plays with heart and determination. The teamwork that these kids have developed is outstanding.
The coaches did an amazing job -- Rob Waddell, Paul Mahoney and Damon Aronson.
Coach Mahoney had challenged the kids early on, if they won it, he would shave off half his mustache of over 20 years.
Sure enough -- at the pizza party, off came the mustache. What a great coach.
