With expanded activities, Holliston Historical Society’s 31st Annual Harvest Fair on Sunday, September 18 (rain date September 25) from 10 AM to 4 PM at 547 Washington Street has something for all members of the family to enjoy.

Spend a few hours at an old-time New England fair with activities such as a bouncy house, children’s games, face painting, an agricultural area with tractors, and live animal displays by 4H members in addition to numerous craft, collectible and antique vendors. The silent auction, legendary Historical-Society-secret-recipe apple pies, bake table, popcorn and lunch items continue to be eagerly anticipated traditions at this event. Open house at the Asa Whiting House starts at 11 AM. Admission is free.

In remembrance of the 150th anniversary of the start of the Civil War, displays of Holliston Historical Society’s collection items from that era will be featured in the meeting room, dining room and parlor of the Asa Whiting House. Guides will be on hand to answer questions.

Items offered for sale by many artisan crafters from Holliston and other New England towns include wooden toys and “name trains,” vintage jewelry, handmade sweaters, chocolate candy, Holliston honey and bee products, Irish soda bread baked by a local baker, photography note cards, silver and beaded jewelry, carved wood items, cards, hats, doll clothes, hair accessories, silk and dried floral arrangements, Christmas ornaments, and collectibles, holiday gifts … and more!

There are still a few spaces in select craft categories available for vendors. Call Sheila at 508-429-4876 for more information.
