The Charles River Chorale Rehearsals

by Donna Keesling
9/7/2011

The Charles River Chorale rehearsals begin on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m., at the Church of Christ, Rte. 115, in Millis.
Open rehearsals will be held for the month of September for anyone who would like to try us out before making a commitment. The all-voice chorale is in its 27th season, and is under the direction of Roy S. Kelley founder and artistic director. It performs Christmas and Broadway music. Auditions are not required, just the ability to carry a tune and a love of music.

The Chorale has members from the towns surrounding the Charles River including Holliston, Millis, Medway, Bellingham, Franklin, Norfolk, and Wrentham.

The chorale continues to provide the area with a bit of local talent and showcase those who love music. It holds two performances a year, one in December for the holiday season and one in May. The chorale also performs at the Memorial Day Ceremonies in Millis, at Medway Pride Day, and at the Lions annual Christmas Concert in Westwood. The Chorale also funds two scholarships for Millis music students.
