Last of the Summer Concerts

by Peter Jackson
8/25/2011

At the final Goodwill Park Concert of the season Tuesday night there were more families there compared to the previous week. BRITANNICA, who is a Massachusetts North Shore classic rock band comprised of former members of the popular Boston bands Smuggler and Roadsteamer, gave a foottapping performance.

BRITANNICA is one of the few professional bands who can recreate the sounds and vocal harmonies of the Beatles, the Kinks, Moody Blues, Rolling Stones, the Who, Badfinger, and many other British bands.

The acoustic duet, comprised of guitarists/vocalists Ted Solovicos and Peter Tentindo played lots of old English hits from the Moody Blues, Kinks, Rolling Stones and The Beatles with a few American rock numbers thrown in for good measure.

Unfortunately due to the lateness in the season we lost light before the concert ended and despite attempts to light the stage with car headlights people fled to avoid being eaten by the mosquitoes.

The BRITANNICA features:
Ted Solovicos- guitar and vocals
Peter Tentindo- lead guitar and vocals

with
Ed McNiff- bass guitar,
Joey Pafumi- drums,
Doug Major- keyboards and backing vocals

Thanks to the Arts Council for another tremendous summer of music for the residents of Holliston. Can't wait for next year.
