Selectmen Meet July 11, 2011

Not so former Selectman Carl Damigella who tried out his Whitey Bulger impression for the camera. Selectman Marsden advised everyone, including the folks in TV land, of the presence of Holliston Patch reporter Sean Jacquet, above right.

But down to the business at hand. Carl was pleased to announce that Holliston will receive its second new mobile assistance vehicle from the MWRTA, which will be assigned to the Council on Aging. The Selectmen thanked Carl for his efforts to make that happen.

Next up were Jackie Dellicker, Jon Juhl, and Ed Nunes from the Town Hall Study Committee. They have been working towards hiring a consultant to study and recommend solutions to the teflon town hall siding problem. They reviewed 12 firms that responded to their request for proposals and have decided on a first and second choice. The Selectmen voted to support their decision and authorized the committee to proceed with negotiation with their first choice, Gienapp Design Associates.

As usual, the meeting was over before anyone in the audience fell asleep. Next week, cub reporter Blair will return to his regular beat.
