Help Your Town
Just a quick reminder that it is time to think about giving back to your community.
In February the nomination papers became available for anyone who is interested in running for any of the elected positions in Town.
This year the available positions are:
Town Clerk, one - 2 year to fill term
Selectman, one - a 3 year term
Finance Comm, two - 3 year term positions
Assessor, one - a 3 year term
School Committee, two - 3 year postions avaiable
Board of Health, one - 3 year term,
Library Trustee, two - 3 year term positions
Water Commissioner one - 3 year term,
Park Commissioner, one - 3 year term, two - 1 year terms
Housing Authority, one - 5 year postion
Planning Board, one - 5 year postion available
Holliston has been very fortunate in the past to have dedicated, knowledgeable people share their expertise and serve the town. It is a lot of time, but also very rewarding. So if you have some spare time and can serve please call my office at 508-429-0601 for any additional information or to ask for nomination papers. Paper must be returned to my office not later than April 5, 2011 for the May 24, town election.
