Stockings of Hope

Things are a little tight for most people these days.  That being said, most of us are all still much better off than many others.  Hopefully, many of us had a chance to reflect on how blessed we are this past week.

As you prepare for the upcoming holiday season, please consider some of the ways  that you can help some others who may be less fortunate than you.

This holiday season, Saint Michael’s Episcopal Church is launching a new outreach program called “Stockings of Hope”.  We hope  to fill Christmas stockings for fifty women who reside in Serenity House (a substance abuse treatment center in Hopkinton) and Shadows (a homeless shelter in Ashland).  Stockings will be “stuffed” with items such as hats, mittens, scarves, nail polish, notecards, etc.   Kamala Boutique will be offering “Pretty Me” bags that may be purchased for the stockings.  When you purchase one of these “Pretty Me” bags the other items in your purchase will be discounted 10%.  Yeah, Kate!!

Please consider adopting  a stocking or simply purchasing an item or two to help fill a stocking.  Return your unwrapped stocking stuffers to either St. Michael's or Kamala Boutique. We ask that all donations be dropped off by Sunday December 12.  For more information please contact Theresa Campbell (campbell.theresa@gmail.com), Janice Ryan (jtryan400@hotmail.com), or Pamela PinterParsons (newpamela@comcast.net).

Happy Holidays!

Our stock of Pretty Me bags is almost sold! We have maybe 8 of the 50 left to sell. Thank you to all who have taken part in this project. I will continue to take any donations at Kamala even when we have sold the last Pretty Me gift bag, and will extend the 10% discount if you bring a donation purchased elsewhere. I love it when the community works together to make life better. An outreach project like this, uniting people across all faiths and economic levels is what a small town is about. Every bit of effort helps. Peace to you all now and always. Kate, owner of Kamala Boutique
