Rachel Meyer Accepts HBA Scholarship

Her name in Rachel Meyer; her mom is Alice Meyer.  She will be attending Syracuse University in the Fall.  She is one of three HHS students who received a $2,000.00 scholarship from the HBA. 

On June 2, the Holliston Business Association awarded three graduating HHS seniors each a $2,000.00 scholarship; Rachel Meyer, Julie McKechnie and Caitlin Scherr.  Pictured above is Rachel Meyer receiving the first scholarship award from John Drohan, President of the HBA.  Pictured with Rachel is her mom, Alice.

While attending HHS, Rachel was a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council.  She, along with a few of her classmates, was instrumental in the foundation and coordination of Diversity Month.  Rachel also participated in numerous community service projects including the Winter Walk for Homestart and the Joey Larracey Memorial Football and Basketball tournament as both a volunteer and a player.

Rachel graduated from HHS with a 3.5 grade point average.  She will be attending Syracuse University in the Fall and plans to pursue a dual major in business and communication.

The Holliston Business Association Scholarship is available to any graduating senior who is a resident of Holliston.  More information regarding the scholarship can be found at the HBA website www.hollistonbusinessassociation.com.
