Parks & Recs Scholarships Available
We are very excited to inform all Holliston residents about two scholarship programs that are available to any Holliston resident.
The first is the Joseph Larracey Sports Scholarship for any sports program for the summer of 2010. The winner of this scholarship will be able to attend any one sports program this summer for free. The scholarship was founded in memory of Joseph Larracey, who played multiple sports while at Holliston High School. On behalf of his family, the scholarship is offered in Joey’s memory in the in hope that another child will also share his enthusiasm for sports. The second is the Gregory Bruno Soccer Scholarship for the summer of 2010. The winner of the scholarship will be able to attend either Holliston Recreation Department for free. This scholarship was founded in memory of Gregory Bruno, who upon discovering the game of soccer, specialized in the goalie position and thoroughly enjoyed the game. On behalf of his family, this scholarship is offered in Greg’s memory in the hope that another child will also share Greg's enthusiasm for the game. If interested in submitting your child for either of the aforementioned scholarships, please click the appropriate link for detailed information. Please remember, the letter of application must be received by April 30, 2010. Hand delivery of the letters is also accepted at our office on 100 Linden Street.
