Kamala Boutique Gives Back

by Kate Lamontagne
10/19/2011

In deep gratitude for all that I have in my life, I am designing 100 beautiful one-of-a kind necklaces, each will be gift packaged and numbered, with a little card explaining what the Gratitude Necklace is about.  My goal is to finish making the necklaces by November 1st, when they will start to go on sale, and to sell them all by Christmas. I am going to give $10 from the sale of each $25 necklace to our Holliston Food Pantry. By selling all 100 necklaces, that will raise $1000 that they can use to shop for some food they need to fill their shelves.

You can go to www.kamalaboutique.com and click the 'studio' link, the necklace on that page is the one that has inspired the new Gratitude Necklace.

I truly appreciate all of you that have continued to support local businesses, realizing that staying in town when possible truly helps our community. I have decided to pay that forward and give to our food pantry, a much needed resource for so many families these days. As in the last few years,  I have made a conscious shopping desicions to carry very affordable merchandise that is still unique and thoughtful.  This will continue onward because it feels really like the right thing to do.

So, during your last minute shopping, please consider coming to Kamala Boutique, where your purchase can help families who are struggling. Also remember our prayer chain.  When you come shopping, please feel free to add names of those you care about on a link of our chain. It is truly beautiful in its simplicity and it has grown to over 120 feet long. It is a visual representation of the fact that it does not matter what faith you might be. We all need each other to get through life. That is what it is all about.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Peace,
Kate Lamontagne

Hi everyone, I did not realize this article was published already! Thank you, Paul! I have about 60 necklaces finished as of today (November 1st). I am awaiting delivery of two key components- more cording and packaging, both of which have been graciously donated by my suppliers. They should be arriving today, and then the first necklaces can go out the door! Thank you everyone!

Kate - Will you take orders in advance?

Kate, That is truly "paying it forward". Holliston is so fortunate to have the treasures that are you and Kamala.

and please be courteous when the Kamala parking lot is full that there is free parking right around the corner on Exchange Street rather than parking on neighbors lawns or on both sides of the street! Thanks for helping keep the neighborhood safe!
