Holliston's newest Citizen of the Year Bea Hait below (right) shares a moment below with Deb Mooore (2001) Thursday night at a reception at Bertucci's. The gathering, organized by Celebrate Holliston members Jane Gilfoy & Lina Arena DeRosa is an annual event to welcome the town's newest Citizens of the Year into the town's most exclusive club. Celebrate Holliston has selected 56 town residents to date since 1992 when Marilyn Salerno and Herb Brockert Sr. were selected.

Several interesting side notes can be observed from the list of former Citizens of the Year. 7 Citizens have been former selectmen. 5 Citizens have passed away. 3 sets of Citizens include father & sons, they include: Herb Brockert Sr. & Herb Jr., Carl & Joseph Damigella, & Lou & John Paltrineri. The family connection doesn't stop with father & son, as it also includes husband & wife: Amy & Andy Porter, Henry & Jackie Dellicker, & Mark & Linda Ahronian.
