Police Log for Week of August 11 - 17, 2019

August 11, 2019:

A lazy, hazy day in August with just two traffic stops and a prisoner who needed to be fed.

August 12:

Crash, 725 (guess where); Hopkinton driver picks on an innocent Holliston driver.

August 13:

Crash, 1285 ; this time its a Douglas driver picking on an innocent Holliston driver. Hometown Auto cleared away the wreckage.

August 14:

Animal incident, Prospect; report of a Beagle running in the street and neighborhood yards ("women and children to get from street").

August 15:

Traffic complaint, Turner; cars speeding during rush hour. Extra patrols requested (that's why it's called rush hour).

Property damage, Underwood; several mailboxes in a row destroyed. Parts from a Toyota Sienna left behind.

Investigation, Chamberlain; damaged Toyota sienna found parked.

August 16:

02:00 AM, suspicious activity, Karen; caller reports hearing noises downstairs in the house. Checked OK. House secure.

Crash, 702; this time two Holliston drivers picked on each other. Hometown Auto claimed the big pieces.

Animal incident, Lowland; report of a dog bite. ACO notified.

Vehicle stop with summons, 676; Fall River resident for 89-7A (failure to move over for an emergency vehicle), 90-7AA (child under 8 without a seat belt, and 90-10 (operating without a license).

K 9 training, 79 Lowland; evidence/article search.

08:00 PM, noise complaint, Turner. QOA.

August 17:

Vehicle stop with arrest, 655; Framingham resident for driving with a suspended license.

During the reporting perion, 44 citations and 26 warnings were issued. Two erratic drivers were reported and dispatchers logged 427 calls.

Richard, the Police log gets my day going every week. I think without Paul it would be very dull report.

Ya gotta be getting on in years to know where "women and children to get from street" comes from.... Gave me a laugh.
