What's Happening at the Senior Center in August?
"The Senior Center is the Place To Be" is perhaps more true now than in months past. First, the Senior Center is air-conditioned to provide a respite from the three H's (hazy, hot, and don't forget humid). Second, the window and door replacement project has been completed so the construction 'adjustments' are over. Third, if you get there soon, you might catch the wonderful 'new carpet' smell wafting through the center.
You'll notice the headline related to the Senior Center Annual Fall Fair on September 7th. The action has already begun. Donations of goods and services are needed to make this major fund-raiser a success. GENTLY-USED items can be dropped off on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. This is a 'two-fer' if there ever was - clean out some of your closets, basements, and attics AND help the Senior Support Foundation raise the money needed to provide much of the wonderful programming we all enjoy!
